The quartet I lead was born between the walls of Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

With Marco Marotta on tenor saxophone, Matt Gedrych on bass and Jack Yardley on drums, I can count on a high level of explosivity.

My compositions tend not to be overwritten, the delivery of the melodies and the intensity of the improvisations by the musicians involved are the two things I most care about.

While the harmonic material clearly derives from some certain Jazz of the Sixties, Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter in primis, themes and atmospheres are strictly connected to Musical Impressionism, Erik Satie, The Beatles and Psychedelic Rock.

Grazie a Marco Marotta al sax tenore, Matt Gedrych al basso, e Jack Yardley alla batteria, posso contare su un elevato livello di esplosività.

Le mie composizioni tendono a non essere sovrascritte. Infatti, la presentazione delle melodie e l’ intensità dell’ improvvisazione da parte dei musicisti coinvolti sono i due aspetti che mi stanno più a cuore.

Mentre il materiale armonico deriva dichiaratemnte da certi sili del Jazz degli anni Sessanta, a partire da Herbie Hancock e Wayne Shorter, melodie e atmosfere sono strettamente connesse all’Impressionismo Musicale, Erik Satie, i Beatles ed il Rock Psichedelico.
