My story

I am a musician and music educator based in Modena, Italy. After having earned a BMus in Jazz guitar at the Conservatorio A. Boito in Parma, Italy, I moved to the U.K. to complete a Master degree in Jazz studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. I am now busy doing session work and writing my original music.

I first fell in love with the guitar when I saw a flamenco show in Cordoba, Andalusia. I started playing only a few years later, but I will always remember how mesmerized I was by the possibilities this beautiful instrument offers.

I learned how to play by copying what I heard in my favorite Rock and Blues records. I then formed my own band, wrote songs, took lessons and learned more about music.

I was particularly interested in jazz, a passion that led to my studies at the Parma conservatory. I had the chance to perform in local venues and abroad too, including the Worms Jazz & Joy Festival in Germany, in ensembles of every kind.

Finally, I was awarded a scholarship and a place at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I had the opportunity to study and perform with some of the best musicians in the country.

I won a competition at the Handel & Hendrix museum, and I was the first ever to play in Jimi's room after the hero himself.
